I have been installing car audio way back when I had hair. We always had to use expensive Ground loop Isos and they never really did a perfect job. I just installed a aftermarket stereo and Amps in my 99 mustang GT and had severe noise even after taking all the proper wiring precautions. My 4 Chann Amp had bad noise , the worse I had heard in years. I thought I would try this Scosche, it was cheap and late at night thought it could not hurt. WOW just one stopped all of my noise instantly . The only bad thing is u have to put it behind the head unit .. Make sure u get the IN and OUT right and it will work great for you!!! Sound is still great ...no signal loss
The unit stomped out ignition noise between my Sirius Starmate and a HON-AUX98 adapter. The cable genders were reverse of what I needed, but I was able to address that readily enough with adapters. It matters which way you hook it up, so pay attention to the INPUT and OUTPUT markers - if you hook it up in reverse, it does not work.
I bought this item because I am having humming issues with my speakers, which are interconnected with a mixer and a laptop. Well, this ground loop isolator did not take away the humming.
